For UC Law SF students seeking medication abortion services, follow the instructions, using the contact information provided.

Step 1: Have your insurance plan number ready

This could be UCSHIP or another insurance plan. You are still entitled to these services even if you have waived out of UCSHIP. It is helpful to know the date of the last period that you had and the date of the period that you just recently missed. It’s ok if you don’t know these.

Step 2: Call a Carbon Health clinic near you

All locations have hours of 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Step 3: Follow the script

Hello, I am student at University of California Law San Francisco and I am pregnant and do not want to be. I would like to schedule an appointment for medication abortion services. What appointments do you have available? Also, I just want to confirm that the cost for this service will be $0 because of UC Law’s coverage agreement with Carbon Health, correct?

Step 4: Schedule your appointment.

Choose a time that’s convenient for you.

Step 5: Show up to your scheduled appointment

Feel free to bring a supportive friend or family member. Take the 2 prescribed medication abortion pills and follow the after-care instructions provided. Exercise your legal right to receive medication abortion services at your campus.
